Indian Thread Ceremony Invitations

The Indian Thread Ceremony or also known as Upanayana is widely performed across India. It marks the acceptance of a student by a Guru (teacher) and an individual's entrance to a school in Hinduism. It is normally performed for children at the age of 8 years but nowadays it is open to all age groups..

When asked to make invites for this function. I was lost as this was the first time for such an event. But with silver thread resembling the Thread Ceremony and lovely blue paper this is what we came up with.

After all the hard work...
The End Result was A Happy Client and Happy Me!!!!

Thanks for stopping by..... Good Day ;)

Sea Theme Kids Birthday Party

Its been a long time since i blogged about anything... I've kept my hands full being a full time mommy, a craft lover and yes now i put my curious hands into Terracotta Jewellery!!!! Well that's for later in my next blog...
Being a full time mommy kept me shuffling from finding new ways to make my toddler enjoy food and of course crafting in my free time (which is rare.. all mommies would agree on that)
One of the things i enjoyed was planning Birthday parties... actually crafting for Birthday parties is the right way of putting it.

Here are few things i did for a Sea theme Party... planning started off with a Nemo theme but i dint wana stop there coz the Sea was such a vast thing..

Jewellery Pouches for Return Gifts (girls)

Favor Boxes for some yummy homemade Chocolates

The birthday Invite
Birthday Parties or any occasion is not complete with the guest book... Take a look at what we came up with for the guest book

Wish Bowl
We has little fish shaped cut outs which the guests were asked to write on... once done they we asked to drop them into the fish bowl.

Hope u enjoyed this post as much as i loved making the stuff...
